Men - the lost gender

 

Recently I came across one of the tweets made by an eminent personality where she drew comparison between men and dogs . Not only her tweet aced the trending list of twitter but also was openly embraced by the members from all communities. What petrified me the most is outcome that would have erupted if the same tweet would had flown from the social media account of a boy. All the feminist would have garnered on social media attacking that boy with a cannonade of criticism , demanding for his arrest.

It's excruciating to witness that how feminism , a movement that started with the vision of empowering women is now being completely misused for gratifying selfcentric motives and desires , how the movement has now pushed the male community in an insomniac state in perpetuity, how a single bogus complaint under the umbrella of feminism can deracinate the entire life of a man. Is this what we trying to achieve through feminism? Because it looks so that we are creating a society that preaches about equality in theory but is swamped with clouds of fear in practice.

Where are the stalwarts of  male activism? Aren't they offended with the injustice that is being unleashed on them or  are they too happy with the notion of society that has reduced them to testosterone fuelled apes that are whipped into a violent rapes tastic frenzy at the mere sight of women. Aren't they aware about the fact that 43% of rape cases are faced by man that go unreported just because the victims are deluded with a false sense of not lodging a complaint as a bullwark against the judgemental eyes of the society. Why are they acting in such a pococurante manner when it comes to deliver justice at doorsteps of a man? Why are they not stepping forward for launching a movement against all the false cases of domestic violence where the perpetrators were from the feminine side. Why don't they raise their voices against 49 laws that encircle their lives placing them behind the bars without an comprehensive investigation but simply on basis of facade complaint backed with theatrics of injury and tears .

Another thing that is painful to witness in this 21st century is the allocation of titles that are made in a jiffy without deciphering the context , meaning or without measuring the damage that title can bring in a person life. Calling someone misogynist, sexist not only reflects your immature mind state or highlights your ruptured sense of wordplay but can also derelict the life of that person on whom we imposed such titles. Please realise how heavy these accusations are , I don't become a misogynist just because my views are not in alignment with my female counterpart. 

The girl has every goddamn right to talk about the measurements of boys body parts, make fun about it , insult him publicly about his bed performance but vice-versa and suddenly the boy becomes a bodyshamer and misogynist.  You are searching for a groom with heavy muscles and big pockets defensetrating boys for not meeting your yardstick of a husband but a boy looking for the same ,  rejecting girls and suddenly he becomes an epitome of cheap and patriarchal mentality . You raise your voices for dowry but when it comes to alimony that forms a part of reverse dowry  it is appreciated and applauded. You raise your voice in a debate  applaudable, a boy tries to do the same and suddenly he becomes a dog who is basking in  male chauvinism

When a boy gets indulged in adultery then you have every right to raise hand on him but when a girl is having an extramarital affair, suddenly it is substantiated with "it's her choice" a girl can mock a boy for dressing like a buffoon because her opinion reinvigorate the right of freedom and expression, however when the vice-versa happens an eccentric wire grapples and confines the equality and freedom of choice of the female counterpart

What sort of society are we trying to create for our future generations . We need to realise that inherent biases are detrimental for both the genders. If we are talking about a gender neutral society then please rather than bashing opposite communities , we need to reconcile thereby expunging our differences in an amicable manner."just like not every women misuses her feminist card , similarly not all men are sexual predators with spiked hormones having an insatiable hunger for flesh" . We cannot paint all the men of this world with the same colour because that's both ethically and morally incorrect , stop seeing us with the same set of lens. We need to put a full stop  on this social media trial that revolves merely on suspicion without hearing the stories of both the sides , judgements being passed by keyboard activist that can have a devastating effect on someone's life , ample number of example are there to encrust this point Jaspreet Singh case being one of them where the Sikh boy was roped in a false case , entitled by media as "Delhi ka darinda" but when the pellucid picture of the entire case surfaced his innocence was proved however in those four years of turmoil the entire scenery of his life got deranged and disrupted .  None of us wish for a society where both the genders are coexisting under the umbrella of fear . Let's create an egalitarian society where both men and women are on the same page , plethora of opportunities for both the genders without any dearth of resources, a society where equal laws are applicable for equal crime irrespective of what the gender is , a society that walks and breathes on the notion of equality in both letter and spirit format.
