The hidden bond of humanity
The resurgence of the cryptic humanistic bond
"Every coin is bestowed with two sides" one of the most cliched idiom that frequently falls on our ear drums and though many of us including me have always been very skeptical regarding the credibility of this phrase because whenever any pandemic surfaces that plays a major hand in the blight of a nation, it becomes a bit strenuous to scrutinise and deduce the positives from such debacle
Now before my statement raises any burrows or you start comparing my personality with sadist or schadenfreuds , kindly allow me to vindicate my comment. The race of homosapiens have been tried and tested by the universe through varied ways , be it through the great economic depression, or the incessant earthquakes , series of world war or through the recent pandemic that has grappled the entire globe. These test are conducted not because of any infidelity being pocketed by the planetary forces against the sapiens but simply to transcend the subdued feeling of humanity that got itself hidden behind the pillars of religious loathing, jealousy and monetary pleasures.
The noxious and fissipaeious card of religion or ethnicity being used in the global politics is not only perpetually involved in instilling compounds of hatred within the soul and mind human beings for one another but also successfully dissected the human race into various compartments with each compartment being symbolised by a unique name , colour , religion and caste, supplemented with a feeling of abohrence for the neighbouring chambers. The religion sects being established have gone to extreme lengths that stretches from beheading Individuals to mob lynchings to vandalising religious places just for the sake of quenching their thirst for religious supremacy. The corporates at the zenith position for a couple of bucks are exterminating the environmental health of the nations, persecution of ethnic minorities in various parts of the world to incessant wars being faught at international borders for few hectares demonstrates the sinking of Karl Mark's dream of establishing an egalitarian society in an abyss ocean.
However when a pandemic like covid spikes , the walls of rancourness that were refraining humans from intermingling with one another have now started dessicating . People from all sects are joining hands to expunge the virus from the boundaries of the globe , selfless services are being rendered by all the organisations to the needy irrespective of their caste , creed or race. Suddenly the age old Hindu-Muslim religion rivalry has dissipated with only one religion getting roped in the picture that is of humanity, In india , communities that once rstrained themselves from standing in each other's shadow are now fighting side by side against the deadly virus, such unification was last witnessed during the partition of Bengal in 1905 where the fight was against the English tyrants and now after 116 years against the uninvited malady. A loud and clear message have been delivered to all the political opportunists who were acting as parasites on this religious enemity that this nation as well it's citizens haven't forefeited their secular fundamentals . They have given teeth to the wise sayings of ex Pm Shree Atal bihari vajpayee " sarkare toh aati jaati rhengi par yeh desh ekjut khada rhega" ,
in a scenario where oxygen has became the new currency , people have defenstrated all the monetary joys and are toiling day and night to make sure that every human being is being blessed with suffice amount of this new currency . The nation's who were having their relations in a deep chill state for more than a decade have suddenly mend their differences and are working on same page for saving life of their citizens from an invisible UFO parked in their backyards sucking oxygen from their lungs. The best example to substantiate this point is Pakistan , a nation that is repeatedly bashed by our political leaders in their speeches and manifesto , the citizens of that nation are praying day and night for the assuage in covid casualties in india. All the social media warriors who were once acting as bastions of religion by bashing other religious communities have now suddenly started sending wishes and prayers for their speedy recoveries.
The pandemic has made a clarion call and portended the fact that whenever such blackswan happen that result in petering out of the human race , all the blanket institutions of religion, caste , race and creed suddenly becomes trivial. As human beings our hearts are swamped with the feelings of compassion, care, love and kindness but the problem is that such pandemics have to ring the bell of our doors time and again to surface these feelings . The world needs to cram this fact by heart that each and every time an epidemic shouldn't be the reason behind the revival of staunch bond of humanity , in this era of globalization where the focus tilts towards creating trade free barriers it is imperative that we need to reinvigorate the theory of hedonistic utilitarianism by creating an utopian world that is freed from the schakles of greed , casteism , hatred and religion , a world that is encrusted with feelings of compassion and mutual respect towards each other, a world devoid of progroms and where egalitarianism occupies the driving seat ,a world being led by the principals of socialism and secularism , where the wires of capitalism are defenstrated and last but not the least a world where every human being back each other by hopping in their days of amusement, sympathizing with each other's in days of agony, acting as each other's checkpoint , an ideal world where " being human" denotes your caste and racial identity and your only sworn religion is that of "humanity".
We all are together in these timorous dark days and when this pandemic gets over my eyes awaits to witness the celebrations for the biggest victory of mankind against the most pernicious challenge of the universe but till then cling to the branches of hope and positivity . Concluding this article with a famous quotation from one of the greatest wizards Albus Dumbledore " Happiness can be found even in the darkest of places all you have to do is turn on the lights"
